Is it ok to walk on my artificial lawn during the winter months? Will the snow and frost damage my lawn?
Winter conditions aren’t a problem for Wonderlawn. Your lawn will not be damaged by a heavy frost or snow, but the lower the temperature gets, the “stiffer” your grass will become but the weather will not damage it.
However, artificial grass is not invincible and you must pay attention to snow or ice. When snow is tread into artificial grass and freezes it can form a layer of ice. This should never be removed by hand as this would cause a tearing effect, much like it would on natural turf. Any ice patches that may form should always be allowed to melt naturally as trying to remove it when frozen can cause damage to the grass fibres.
To keep your artificial lawn snow-free you should always use a plastic snow shovel as metal snow shovels can damage the fibres more easily.
However if you have any questions the team at Wonderlawn are always happy to help.
